Divisional Secretariat - Narammala

"Bakmaha Asiriya Narammala 2023" was held on 22.04.2023 at the UB Vijaycon Stadium, Narammala, with the participation of thousands of people in a grand manner. Running through the village, bicycle races, folk songs, wrestling, tug-of-war, climbing the slippery tree, sack race, breaking kanamutti, selection of Avurudu Kumari and many folk games were held on that day. All the sponsoring activities of Bakmaha festival including prize giving to the winners were carried out by the Narammala Trade Association and the Trade Community. The event was Organized by the officials of the Divisional Secretary's office and led by the village officials, the Narammala Police, Water Supply Board, Pradesiya Saba, Agricultural Service Centers, Hospital, Medical Officer of Health Office and all the government institutions of the area and whom were participated in this Bakmaha festival.

The concert "Prabhaswara Rangasoba" was grandly held on 19.02.2023 at Mayurapada Central College Auditorium, Narammala headed by the Commissioner of Land General Bandula Jayasinghe which showcases the artistic abilities of the Narammala Divisional Secretariat officials.

The traditional food promotion program organized by the Narammala Divisional Secretariat and the Elders Council with the aim of imparting the knowledge of traditional food to the next generation was held on 31.03.2023 with the participation of the students studying Home Science of Narammala Mayurapada Junior College at the Betel market in Narammala.

"Sondhuru Gamak" joint attitude development and community awareness program was conducted at Ranawatta Primary School on 16.02.2023 with the resource contribution of District Counseling Officer Mrs. Nanda Malani for the villagers of Ranawatta and Senanayake Colony. Simultaneously, coconut palm distribution and prizes were distributed to the students who appeared for the scholarship examination of Ranawatta Primary School.
