Divisional Secretariat - Narammala

Sahitya Roo Sara - 2023 Regional Literary Festival organized by Culture Division of Narammala Divisional Secretariat was held on 16.11.2023 at Mayurapada Vidyalaya Auditorium, Narammala. Here, an entertaining program titled Folk Song associated with folk poetry was conducted by the group led by Mr. Chitrasiri Navaratne, folk singer of Rajarata Service of Sri Lanka Radio Corporation.

The "Elderly Center" built under the provisions of the National Senior General Secretariat on the land acquired by Pradesiya Saba, Narammala, was opened by the Assistant Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Nashanthi Kumari on 05.10.2023, at the auspicious moment 9.32 a.m. with the aim of enjoying old age, spiritual development and relieving mental stress,,

 Today, the "Ketai - Batai Apekamai" local food program was conducted at the office premises of the Divisional Secretariate, Narmmala jointly organized by the Cultural Division and the Ayurveda Division of the office. A lecture was given on the topic "A healthy lifestyle" by the Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officer, Ms. Menaka Ilangkon. Also, an exhibition for local food, a food preparation program and a market place for local products were held.

The Esala Maha Perahera of the historic Dambadeniya Rajamaha Temple was celebrated on 05.08.2023 with traditional dance accompanied by elephants and another 72 various colorful events has taken place in this street tour.
