Narammala Agro Export Zonal Program was launched on 3rd November 2021 under the patronage of Hon. Janaka Wakkumbura, State Minister of Small Plantation Crop Development, related Industries and Export Promotion.
This program is implemented jointly by the Government Ministries of Export Promotion, Department of Export Agriculture, District Secretariat and Narammala Divisional Secretariat. 17970 pepper plants were handed over as symbols to 30 beneficiaries and And the awarding ceremony for the title also took place on this ocation.
The inaugural ceremony was held at the Kivulgalla Punya Vardhanaramaya with the participation of the Chief Incumbent of the Kivulgalla Punya Vardhanaramaya, Ven. Sumith Rajapaksa, Hon. Deputy Chairman of the Narammala Divisional Coordinating Committee, Political Authority as well as Additional Director General of the Department of Export Agriculture, Leading Officers, Assistant Director of the District Secretariat, Narammala Divisional Secretariat, Leading Government Officers, Development Offices of the Forest Divisions of the Program Operational Wildlife Areas, Program Operational Forest Divisions All the officers in charge of the domain participated.We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who attended this event and to all those who supported us in various ways from the beginning to the end of the program.
